Georgia RB/S likes Dawgs, Noles

Three-star Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County running back/safety Cedric Hodges has two schools at the top of his list entering the new month.
“Florida State and Georgia are my two favorites,” he said. “It’s pretty much those two, then some other teams on down like Auburn and Middle Tennessee and Mississippi State and Ole Miss. I have offers from everyone but Georgia, and they say I could get one when I get my test score.

“I like Georgia because it’s the team I always grew up following. I’ve always been a fan. It’s pretty close to home, and I know a bunch of people there. It would be great to play there.
“Florida State is a team I’ve always liked to watch on TV. I like their tradition and style and coach Bowden. He’s one of the best there is.”
Hodges (6-0, 180, 4.45) initially said he’d like to go somewhere that would use him as a running back, but he has since loosened his stance a bit.
“It really don’t matter to me anymore,” he said. “If I need to play safety to go to Georgia or Florida State, I’ll play safety.”
He made an unofficial visit to Florida State for the Miami game. He plans on visiting Georgia for the Auburn and Kentucky games.
“I haven’t set up any of my officials yet,” Hodges said. “I’m not sure when I’ll do that.”
Through seven games this season, Hodges has rushed for 750 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense. He’s got three interceptions on defense. He missed Houston County’s (5-3) first game with an injury.
As a junior, he had 1,399 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Academically, he said he’s got a core GPA in the mid-2s, and is awaiting his test score.
