Georgia RB picks up first offer

Valdosta, Ga., is well known as one of the most tradition rich high school football programs in America. Good teams usually produce good players and this year is no exception. Running back Jamal Scott is one of the top running backs in South Georgia.
“I have an offer from Louisville and that is my only one so far,” Scott said. “I’m also getting mail from Louisville, Southern Miss, Clemson, Columbia, Harvard, Penn, Auburn and Army. I grew up watching Florida as a kid.”

During the 2003 season Scott and his cousin James Neal, who has several Division I offers helped lead the Wildcats to the class 5-A championship game.
“I am a very balanced back,” Scott said. “I am a power running when I have to be, but I am usually able out guys around the outside.”
As a junior he had 209 carries for 1,097 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also caught 20 passes for 179 yards.
Scott is also a solid academic student who carries a 3.5 GPA and has already scored an 810 on the SAT.
