Micah Andrews has four teams tentatively slated for official
visits.
Andrews, a member of the Rivals.com
Georgia
Top 50 team and the No. 25 running back in the nation, says
he's going to make trips to Virginia, Boston College, Vanderbilt and Wake
Forest.
"I don't have the dates final yet, but I'll be going
to visit those four schools," he said. "Georgia Tech has stepped into the
running of late, too, so I'm keeping an eye on them. A guy they've offered
down in Florida is not doing anything right now, so they told me I'm next in
line and to just be patient. They'd rate in my top three right now if they
offer. But one of my coaches down here told me it would be smart to keep
that fifth visit open until I was sure who was going to offer."
South Carolina fits that bill as well. Previously
considered one of Andrews' favorites, the Gamecocks are now back in the pack
with a handful of other teams.
"I don't know if they're going to offer, so we're
not going to waste an official visit until we're sure," he said.
Andrews (5-11, 193, 4.47), the son of former NFL
standout William Andrews, said there's no clear favorite for his services at
this point. "I'm just going to keep weighing my options and try to find the
best opportunity for me. I'm looking for a place where I can get the best
opportunity for playing time and a great education at the same time. That's
why I've picked those first four schools."
Andrews has led Greater Atlanta Christian to a 10-1
record this season by rushing for 2,217 yards and 20 touchdowns. He had 197
yards rushing in Friday's first-round playoff win.
