Tashard Choice has all but one of
his official visits on the Calendar for a busy January.
A member of the Rivals.com
Southeast Top 100 team and the
No. 21 running back in the nation, Choice will visit West Virginia on Jan. 10,
Indiana for a mid-week trip on Jan. 14, Stanford on Jan. 17 and Mississippi
State on Jan. 24.
"I'm looking at Oklahoma State or Michigan State for the
other two," he said. "I just talked to Michigan State's new coach (John L.
Smith) on the phone, and he told me he wants me to come up there. He was
recruiting me when he was at Louisville, and I liked him a lot, so I'm thinking
about going up there."
Choice said West Virginia holds a slight lead in his
recruitment at this point, with "all the others real close."
He had previously listed Georgia Tech as his top school,
but the Yellow Jackets filled their needs at running back with other
commitments.
"I was a little disappointed," he said, "but I knew that
was a possibility. I just wanted to go see some other places, too. It'll all
work out for the best."
As a senior, Choice rushed for more than 1,200 yards,
had 800 yards receiving and scored 20 touchdowns.
