One of the Peach State's top players is still playing the waiting game.

Wade, who completed 65 percent of his passes for 2,100 yards and 26
touchdowns in leading the Panthers to the Class 5A state championship as a
junior, says he's staying patient during the recruiting process.
"I
don't have any official offers yet, but I'm not letting it bother me," he said.
"I just want to go out and play like I know I'm capable of playing, pass for
over 2,000 yards and lead my team to another state championship, and I know
everything else will take care of itself."
Wade (6-2, 190, 4.9) thinks he'll
be a much better player in 2002.
"I'm a little bit quicker and my arm strength
is a lot better than at this time last season," he said. "Plus, my overall
awareness and understanding of the offense is higher since last year was my
first as a starter.
"You take that, then look at all the people coming back
around me, and I'm really excited about my senior year."
Wade plays behind
arguably the nation's finest offensive line -- including Zeb McKinzey, David
Overmyer and Brandon Pilgrim -- and has one of the South's top skilled players
alongside him in running back Sean Dawkins.
His top five colleges include
Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Alabama.
"They've all said
they'd be bringing me in for a game, and they want me to send them some of my
film from the first two or three games to see what's going on," Wade said.
