Georgia QB moving up charts

Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter quarterback Zach Richardson, who is ranked as a three-star prospect, is one of the fastest rising signal-callers in the Southeast. But has his status increase, produced any scholarships yet?

“I’ve not talked to many schools on the phone in a while,” Richardson, who is 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, said. “I’m still getting regular mail and offers to come up to games. I’m getting stuff all the time from Tennessee, Auburn and MTSU.”
Richardson said, though, that he could tell that the interest has definitely picked up for him and that he’s taken his game to another level this season.
“We didn’t make the playoffs,” he said. “I’m still disappointed with that. But I’m actually pretty please with how things went for me. This was my real first year of getting to play and I’ve been fairly pleased with how it went. I threw for around 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns.”
Richardson, a left-handed quarterback with a strong arm, turned heads earlier this summer with several strong camp performances and did nothing on the field to prove that he’s not good enough to play at the D-I level.
He’s now just looking for a chance.
