Georgia QB has offers, visits set up

East Point (Ga.) Tri-Cities two-star quarterback Tray Rutland was sidelined most of his senior season with a serious hamstring injury. But when he was on the field he made the most of it.
“I had 983 yards passing and 487 yards rushing and I just played in the first four games of the season,” Rutland said. “I was disappointed not being able to play more, but it was pretty painful.”

What’s not been a pain is the recruiting process. Despite the injury, Rutland has offers from Mississippi State, Tulane, Bowling Green and Marshall. He will visit Bowling Green on December 3, Tulane on December 10 and Mississippi State on January 14.
“Actually I have three leaders right now,” he said.
“They are Tulane, Bowling Green and MSU. I’m looking for the perfect situation. I want to play quarterback and play right away. I think I might get more of a chance at Tulane at this point in time than the other schools.”
