Garrett Cranford is in the process of setting up official
visits.
"I was talking to Mississippi State and Middle
Tennessee about it tonight," he said. "Those two have gotten to the point
where I think they're going to offer. I went to Mississippi State a couple
of weeks ago to see them play Arkansas and had a good time. I like them a
lot. Them and Alabama have been coming on the most. (The Crimson Tide) told
me they'd be in touch sometime in early December, so I'm interested to see
what they have to say."
Is there a favorite?
"I don't know if I'd say one right now," he said. "I
like something about all of those teams, the coaches and the programs. It
would probably be Alabama, though. I'd love to get an opportunity to play
there."
He had been told there was a scholarship offer from
Vanderbilt earlier this fall, but says he has not had any contact with the
Commodores in recent weeks.
Cranford (6-3, 285, 5.15) graded out at 90 percent
for the season and averaged five pancake blocks per game as a senior at West
Laurens.
