Georgia LB turning heads

Woodstock, Ga. linebacker Danny Carmichael attended the Athens NIKE camp as somewhat of a sleeper. After a good performance at the camp and a strong spring, he's considered one of the top linebackers in the Atlanta metro area.
"I have offers from Middle Tennessee State and North Carolina right now," Carmichael said. "I get handwritten mail from Georgia, Auburn, Miami-Ohio, Southern Miss, Clemson and Florida as well."

The 6-foot-, 230-pound Carmichael attended the Athens NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.62 seconds, the shuttle in 4.37 seconds and posted a 30-inch vertical jump.
"Right now my top schools are Georgia, Auburn, Florida, North Carolina, Clemson and Middle Tennessee State," Carmichael said. "The top school for me would be Georgia. It's the home state school and I grew up a big fan."
As a junior he collected 87 solo tackles, 25 assists, five tackles for loss, three interceptions and recovered two fumbles.
"I'm looking for a school that has a good atmosphere and surroundings," Carmichael said. "I would prefer to stay in the southeast if I could and I also want to go somewhere that has good academic programs."
