Jonna Lee is in the process of scheduling his official
visits.
No dates are in place, but the teams are lining up
for one of the South's top outside linebackers.
"I'm going to Auburn for sure, sometime in January,"
he said. "I just recently talked to coach (Greg) Knox about setting that one
up. They're still my favorite, my leader right now.
"The only other one I'm sure I'll visit is Florida,
but we haven't got a date in mind yet. They've been talking like they're
about to offer me, so that's pretty exciting. Their coach who's recruiting
me says the linebacker coach is always asking about me, wanting to make sure
he gets me to come down and make an official visit. They tell me they need a
bunch of linebackers in this class, so I think that gives me a chance to
step in and get some early playing time there."
Lee camped at Florida this summer and attended the
Miami-Florida game on an unofficial visit.
"I loved it down there," he said. "It seems like a
real fun place to play."
Lee (6-1, 217, 4.6) said Georgia and Middle
Tennessee may also get visits, although the Bulldogs have yet to offer and
the Blue Raiders rank a distant fourth from the other teams on his list.
"There aren't really any signs that (Georgia) will
offer," he said. "They still call, but they just tell me to hang in there
and be patient, that they've got a couple of other offers out on
linebackers, so it doesn't seem like I'm as high a priority on their list as
some other teams."
Lee capped his senior season with more than 100
tackles, five sacks and one interception.
