Top 50 team and the No. 21 inside linebacker in the nation,
Williams will visit Duke on Jan. 10 and Georgia Tech on one of the other
weekends in January.
"We're still working on the date, but I'll be going
there for sure," he said. "After that, it'll be between Florida, Clemson,
Georgia and probably LSU for the other three visits."
Williams (6-0, 215, 4.44) has offers from Florida
and LSU. He said he thinks additional ones are on the way from Duke and
Georgia Tech.
"They both seem to want me real bad," said Williams,
who made an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech this weekend for the Florida
State game. "They're calling and showing as much interest as anyone. I think
they're mainly waiting for my test scores to get back. But I like the
academic standpoint of it. That's important to me."
Williams also said he's been inclined to stay in
state, giving a slight edge to the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets if the offers
come.
Whoever winds up in the final mix for Williams will
be getting one of the South's best. He earned Class 3A all-state honors as a
junior at West Laurens and has followed that up with a great senior year, recording 115
tackles through the first nine games.
