Georgia LB picks ACC school

The talk in Buford (Ga.) has been over the Wolves two big time prospects Neil Brown and Darius Walker. However, Buford linebacker Zach Smith has made his commitment to the Duke Blue Devils.
Smith tore up the camp scene this summer and really saw his stock rise with sub 4.4 forty times at a couple of camps.

The 5-foot-11, 200 pound Smith chose Duke over offers from several D-IAA schools including I-AA powerhouse Furman.
“He committed last night,” said Buford head coach Dexter Wood. “They called him and offered and he committed right there.”
Smith sports a 315 pound bench press and 495 pound squat.
“He grew up a big Duke fan and that is where he wanted to go all along,” said Wood. “I know that’s a little different for a kid that grew up less than an hour from the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, but he has always loved Duke football and now he is going to be a part of it.”
Smith is an excellent student and should have no problems being admitted into Duke.
