Georgia LB mulling over five teams

Tyrone Cornileus is a three-star linebacker prospect from Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson High School. Cornileus, 6-2 and 195 pounds, was supposed to make his commitment decision last month. But he had to postpone it.
"I was going to commit a few weeks ago," Cornileus said. "I am taking time now to go over the schools, research them all and make the right decision for my future."

Cornileus now has a solid top five that features Michigan, Georgia Tech, Miami, South Carolina and Tennessee.
"Michigan came on late but I am not counting them out. The tradition they have is awesome. It is a great school academically and they play great football. Michgan gets players in the NFL.
"The one thing that sticks out with Georgia Tech is their engineering program. The football team is coming along. They had a great season last year. I love the bond I have the coaches there.
"I have always liked Miami since I was a kid. They were the second team to offer and have showed me lots of love. Their tradition is great. I have a great connection with the coaching staff and I love the rate at which they put players in the NFL. Plus, they are a private school.
"South Carolina was the first school to offer. I love coach (Steve) Spurrier and coach (Lorenzo) Ward. I get along with the players there and I know they are doing well in recruiting.
"Tennessee is just like Michigan because they came on late. Lane and Monte Kiffin are two great coaches. Actually, that staff has lots of coaching experience and they are very energetic. There's a lot of intensity in that program. The Tennessee facilities are at the top. They will have a great recruiting class and Tennessee is a team on the rise."
So does Cornileus now have a timetable for a decision?
"I might make a decision by end of the month or perhaps in September. It will basically come down to what's best for me and my future. Education is big. I want to be comfortable and get on the field quickly. I want experience and exposure."
