Georgia LB heading to I-AA

Georgia linebacker Bryce Smith took a couple visits early in 2007 and he has now come to his decision. Smith talked things over with his mom and how committed to Samford.
"I visited Samford back on January 5 and then I visited Coastal Carolina on the weekend of January 12," said Smith. "After those visits, I talked with my mom and I decided Samford was where I wanted to go."

Smith talked to us about why he chose Samford.
"I know I can get a great education there and that was important to me," he said. "It is also close to home and I know I will have a chance to play early there."
The decision wasn't an easy one.
"It was really down to Samford, Tennessee-Chattanooga, and Coastal Carolina. I just took my time, thought about things, talked it over with my mom, and then made the decision."
"It was a tough decision because all were great schools, but I feel good about my decision."
Smith is a 6-foot-0, 230-pound linebacker that will play on the inside at Samford.
