Alexander Williams
is headed to the ACC.
"I went down to Duke this past weekend for my official
visit, and I was just blown away," he said. "Everything about it was perfect for
me. The No. 1 thing I was looking for was a great education, and it's hard to
beat Duke. No. 2 was to play in a good conference and have a chance at some
immediate playing time, and they're going to give me that opportunity."
Williams (6-0, 215, 4.44) is a member of the Rivals.com
Georgia Top 50 team and the No.
21 inside linebacker in the nation. He picked the Blue Devils over Georgia Tech
and Clemson, among others.
Defensive lineman Kevin Wilson, another Georgia native,
was his host during his visit to Duke.
"We got along real well," he said. "I felt like I really
fit in around those guys. That was one of my concerns going in, but it was real
comfortable."
As a senior, he recorded 123 tackles and two sacks for
West Laurens High School.
