Georgia LB already making noise

Thompson, Ga., is home to one of the state of Georgia's top linebacker prospects. Danny Verdun, an inside linebacker prospect, is already getting attention from some of the top programs.
And for good reason.

Verdun, who has a 4.6-second time in the 40-yard dash, a 340-pound bench-press and a 650-pound squat, has racked up 198 tackles, 120 assists, 30 tackles for a loss and eight sacks in his sophomore and junior seasons.
"I'm very aggressive," Verdun said.
"I like to attack and make the big-time hit. I will work hard and be a great asset to any team that will give me a chance."
Verdun stats were impressive - but just think of what would happen if he played for a full game.
"I would often have to come out in the third quarter because the games were out of reach," Verdun said.
Thompson finished 11-2 on the season.
When it comes to a college decision, Verdun said things like the overall program, academics and the school's location will be key.
And that's why teams like UGA, Auburn, Nebraska, Florida, Alabama, Maryland and Boston College top his list.
