Georgia junior QB is one to watch

Akil Dan-Fodio is certainly a quarterback to watch from the Peach State in the Class of 2011. Dan-Fodio, from Stone Mountain (Ga.) Redan High School, is a three-sport star and a dual-threat quarterback on the gridiron.
"Yeah, I am a dual-threat guy," Dan-Fodio said. "But I prefer to throw from the pocket. I am an intelligent quarterback that knows a lot about the game. I have a strong arm and very athletic. I just want to keep working hard and get stronger and faster."

According to Dan-Fodio he has scholarship offers from Clemson, UAB and Central Florida.
"Those are verbal offers. I don't have anything in writing right now. I think UAB was the first to offer me. Duke, Stanford, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt are all showing interest in me.
"I can't really say I have a top five, I am liking them all and looking for a passing offense and I would like to play early."
This fall Dan-Fodio had the opportunity to visit a bunch of schools on game day for unofficial visits.
"I took visits to Clemson, Tennessee, Duke, Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Vandy. It was all a good experience and it gave me a better feel for these schools. Tradition is so big down here. These fans show up five hours before game time. It's crazy."
Dan-Fodio, 6-4 and 210 pounds, threw for over 1,000 yards and rushed for over 500 yards. Redan was 1-9 on the season. Right now he's playing basketball and in the spring he plays baseball. Dan-Fodio carries a 3.8 grade point average.
