Georgia JUCO end claims a leader

Milledgeville (Ga.) Georgia Military College defensive end Torrey Ball made his way to Syracuse over the weekend. What did the 6-foot-4, 250-pounder think of the official visit?
"It was good," he said. "I hung out with the players and coaches. I got to research the football program more and it's a good school. I saw the best of everything."

Ball was hosted on the trip by Arthur Jones.
"It was nice, he showed me around," he said. "It seemed like everybody knew him. I was surprised the players had that following since it's a big place."
Ball also got time with the coaches too.
"I spent time with all the coaches, it was good," he said. "I talked to Coach Marrone. He seems like a good coach. He spoke at the basketball game at halftime and got everyone pumped up. It seems like a good fit for Syracuse."
Overall the trip was enjoyable for Ball.
"It was a good visit, I had a good time and it's a nice community there."
The two-star junior college prospect is unsure about his next move.
"I have some stuff in the works, but I can't say too much yet," he said. "Right now I'd say Syracuse is my No. 1.
"I do have offers from Appalachian State and Duke as well."
