Georgia is the dream school for in-state DL

THE LATEST: Griffin (Ga.) has produced a lot of top-end talent over the years and many of their top football recruits have signed with the Georgia Bulldogs.

Could Demarjhe Lewis be next?

He is a 6-foot-3, 260 pound defensive lineman in the 2020 class who created some buzz with his play as a freshman. This fall could be the time his recruitment takes off and Georgia had him on campus last fall for a game, then again for camp over the summer.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I have always liked Georgia," said Lewis. "They have always been my favorite school. They are the hometown school, a lot of people around here like them and that is a school I would love to get an offer from.

"I went to camp there over the summer and I have been there for a game too. I like the fans there, I like the campus and I like coach Tray Scott.

"Coach Scott has a lot of energy and he works his players hard. He is cool until you mess up, then he gets on you and works you. He thinks I can have a big season and he told me that he will be watching me.

"I had fun at the camp this summer and the coaches at Georgia are cool. It would be like a dream to get an offer from them. I will be working hard for that this season."

RIVALS REACTION: Lewis will have offers in the near future. He has great quickness and athleticism for a prospect his size and his age. Auburn and Wake Forest along with Georgia are showing interest in him. Georgia is his dream school and if the Bulldogs offer, they will likely be tough to beat.
