Georgia FB still getting UT, Bama calls

One of the strongest players in the entire nation and one of the top players in Georgia is Marietta (Ga.) Osborne fullback Trey Brewer. A few weeks ago, he was hearing from some good SEC teams, but now that his season is over, has that changed?
“I’m still getting some regular calls from Tennessee, Alabama. Furman and a few D-IAAs,” Brewer, who is 5-foot-11 and 224 pounds, said. “I talked to a coach the other day and he asked if many people were calling me and he said it must really just seem like a down period for a lot of teams because they’re still playing. Now that my season is over with, I’m hoping that it picks up even more.”

Brewer is still waiting his first scholarship offer, but he said hopefully with an improved ACT/SAT score that will change.
“I have an 840 on the SAT, and that’s probably good enough to get into some schools, but a lot of the coaches want me to get a higher score,” he said. “So I’m going to go ahead and take the ACT this time around.”
Brewer’s season didn’t go quite the way he wanted it to.
“We only won one game,” he said. “It was kind of depressing to do all that work and then only win one game. But I’m looking forward to the future and what it might hold for me.”
