Georgia end has first two offers

Gainesville (Ga.) defensive end Keith Wells has had a good week. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound prospect picked up his first two scholarship offers, including one from an Atlantic Coast Conference favorite, this week.
"Marshall offered me Tuesday and Georgia Tech offered me today," he said.

Wells was on an unofficial visit in Atlanta when he got the news that the Yellow Jackets' staff wanted him.
"They took me around the campus and I got to speak with (Tech head coach) Chan Gailey and he informed me that they were offering me a full scholarship to go to Georgia Tech and play football."
The offer from the Jackets was huge. Tech has been near the top of Well's list for some time.
"Georgia Tech has always been in that one-two spot for me," he said. "Right now, they are pretty much the apple of eye."
Gainesville High sent four-star offensive lineman Nick Claytor to Tech in preceding recruiting cycle.
"At least it won't be like I am around total strangers if I go there," he said. "Nick is going to Georgia Tech and I will be familiar with someone, someone who is also from Gainesville."
Wells talked a little bit about himself as a player.
"I am an explosive player," he said. "I am a playmaker. I play with the type of aggression. I try to go all out and have enemies on the football field. But at the same time I try to keep the football outside of my life."
