Georgia DL nearing decision

Columbus (Ga.) Pacelli defensive tackle Quencey Patrick has picked up over half a dozen scholarship offers. He plans to announce his decision later this month and three schools have the lead.
"Ole Miss, Tulane and Indiana are my top three right now," Patrick said. "Alabama and Mississippi State are still in the mix too. I have had some really good talks with Tulane and Indiana in recent weeks and that's why they are up there. They are telling me I can come play right away."

The 6-foot-2, 267-pound Patrick runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds and helped lead the Vikings to their second consecutive undefeated regular season.
"I still plan to decide this month sometime," Patrick said. "I don't have an exact day yet, but I can tell you that it will be before the first game. I am calling the coaches at each school every week so they all still have a chance."
During his junior campaign Patrick collected 84 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, seven sacks and two fumble recoveries.
"I really want the chance to play early," Patrick said. "That is really important to me. After that it is going to come down to where I feel most comfortable and what coaching staff I feel the best about."
Patrick is rated as the No. 37 player in the state of Georgia and is rated as a three-star prospect.
