Georgia DL has two offers

Newnan (Ga.) Northgate defensive lineman James Searcy currently holds two scholarship offers and is getting plenty of attention from a number of other college programs.
"I have offers from Arkon and Troy," he said. "Those are both good schools."

Searcy added that he expects several assistants to come by Northgate High and evaluate him this week.
"A lot of the other schools are coming by," he said. "Florida State, Alabama, Auburn and all of them. I think Florida State is real close to offering me."
Searcy, who measured in at 6 feet 2 ½ inches, 258 pounds at the Athens NIKE Camp last Saturday, currently has three schools (none of which have offered) at the top of his list.
"Florida State, Auburn and Georgia are my favorites," he said. "I want a place that runs the same kind of defense that we play, a 4-3."
Searcy talked about his showing at the camp last Saturday.
"It went pretty good," he said. "I wish I would have gotten a lot more reps, but I did pretty good in the drills and things like that."
There are several reasons that Searcy feels he is a Division I-A football prospect.
"Pretty much, I think I have a lot of power and I am team player," he said. "I work hard in the weight room."
Last season, Searcy had more than 60 tackles and five sacks.
