Georgia DE with three offers

Three-star defensive end Cornelius Jones holds three offers at this time. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder out of Lithonia (Ga.) Martin Luther King has taken one trip to this point this summer, and now plans to take a few more.
"I have offers from Tulane, Akron and Howard," he said. "I went to Georgia for camp so far and I'm probably going to make it to Middle Tennessee and Appalachian State."

Jones' performance at the Georgia camp seemed to leave a positive impression.
"They said I did pretty well and they invited me back to their Dawg Night," said Jones.
Jones made it no secret he is very high on the Bulldogs.
"Man, it's my dream school," he stated. "If they want me I'll probably commit. I love being in Georgia. All of my family is here and I love the tradition and the way the coaching staff is. I like the way they treat their players."
Aside from the interest he is receiving from Georgia, Jones is also receiving looks from Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Louisville, Clemson, Boston College, North Carolina and Marshall.
Jones noted that Clemson is another school high on his list.
"I like them a lot too," he said. "I've got family in South Carolina and I like the way they coach and treat you. They want me to come to their camp too."
As he evaluates his options, the Peach State lineman is looking for a few things in a program.
"I really want to be able to play as a true freshman," he said. "I want to be able to get playing time my freshman year, that is my main focus. I'm also looking for somewhere that offers my major, sports medicine. I would like to be relatively local too."
As a junior Jones only saw time at offensive tackle, where he earned second team All-Region honors. Since he is relatively new to the defensive side of the ball, Jones recapped his style of play.
"I'm very explosive," he said. "I've got a lot of speed and I can get to the ball fast. I'm pretty quick."
