Georgia DE picks SEC

The state of Georgia has been kind to Mississippi State in the past and it has been once again. The Bulldogs have landed a commitment from a three-star player from the Peach State.
LaGrange (Ga.) Troup County strongside defensive end Avery Hannibal has committed to Mississippi State, according to his coach Tommy Walburn.

“He went up to the game at Mississippi State this weekend and felt really comfortable over there,” Walburn said. “He really felt like it was the place for him, so he went ahead and committed.”
Hannibal picked Mississippi State over offers from Troy State and UCF and interest from Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
“He’s had a great season,” Walburn said. “He has 36 tackles, 11 assists, 2 ½ sacks, six tackles for a loss and a blocked punt. He’s going to be a great player for Mississippi State and an even better kid.
“He has to be the best kid on and off the field that I’ve ever coached.”
