Georgia DE loading up on the offers

Gainesville (Ga.) East Hall defensive end Sterling Bailey is one of many elite linemen from the Peach State in the Class of 2011. Bailey, 6-5 and 257 pounds, had a big-time junior season, recording 64 tackles, 24 tackles for a loss, five sacks, 16 quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles.
"Some of my strengths are my athleticism and speed," Bailey said. "I need to work on disengaging for offensive linemen. I am pretty good at stopping run and rushing the passer. I mean I can play every down."

According to Bailey he has close to two dozen scholarship offers at this time.
"I have 20 so far. Teams like Florida and USC. Everyone in the SEC but Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama and Mississippi State have offered me. Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Wake Forest have all offered.
"Clemson was the original offer. That felt good and I was very excited about it. The last one to offer me was either Vandy or Wake Forest.
"I was very happy that Georgia offered me. Some times they wait but they didn't on me.
"I think Alabama is close to offering according to my coach."
So far Bailey has been to quite a few colleges. He has seen Georgia Tech, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, Alabama and Western Kentucky.
"That's it for right now. In the future I plan on seeing Florida, FSU, Vandy, Ole Miss, and Auburn.
"I am pretty open with everyone. I am looking for that connection with the coaches, players and the school."
