Georgia DB opens up his recruitment

After going public with a verbal commitment to Louisville less than two weeks ago, Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson cornerback Ahmed Shakoor has re-opened his recruitment.
"It was just more of a case of mixed-up words," Shakoor said. "I haven't fully committed to Louisville or anything like that. I really loved Louisville and everything."

Marshall, Louisiana Tech, East Carolina and Virginia Tech are among the schools that are now showing interest in Shakoor, along with Louisville.
The Thundering Herd has made quite an impression on Shakoor.
"I just love the coaches at Marshall," he said. "Even though I haven't been there, I just really love the coaches."
The two-star defensive back has been hitting the summer camp circuit hard and recently made stops at Clemson and Alabama.
"It was really cool down in Alabama," he said. "I got to be coached by Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. It was good because even though it felt like a tryout, I learned things. I learned how to get better at playing defensive back.
"Everybody around here knows about Clemson. It has that small-town feel. I took my mom up to Clemson and everybody spoke with her."
Shakoor said he plans to attend camp at Ohio State this weekend.
