Georgia DB impressive at NIKE camp

The NIKE camps proved to be a place for potential prospects to really solidify themselves as not only legitimate prospects, but heavily recruited prospects. One prospect that took full advantage of his opportunity to impress scouts and college coaches was Waycross (Ga.) Ware County cornerback Henry Chubb.
“I don’t have any official offers yet, but I am really close,” Chubb said. “Louisville and Ball State basically told me that if I am legitimately interested in their program that they would offer me a scholarship. Georgia Tech told me that they want me to come to camp and if they like what they see then they will offer.”

Chubb registered in at 5-foot-10.5 inches and weighed 174 pounds at the NIKE camp.
“I have gotten calls this month from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ball State, Florida, Louisville and Georgia Tech,” Chubb said. “I would have to say that Louisville and Ball State are recruiting me the hardest right now.”
He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds at the NIKE camp. He also ran the shuttle in 4.28 seconds, had a 31.9-inch vertical jump and did 19 reps on the bench press.
“My leader right now is Florida State,” Chubb said. “After them it is Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Auburn. Right now I plan on camping at Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Auburn.”
As a junior Chubb collected 33 tackles, had six pass breakups, caused one fumble, had three tackles for loss and had three interceptions. He was named first team all-region as well as first team all-okefanokee.
