Georgia CB Looking Out West

Fayetteville (Ga.) Starr's Mill cornerback Deante Battle isn't getting the attention he deserves in the state of Georgia. However, he's getting plenty of looks elsewhere.
"I have offers from Stanford, Duke, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Colorado," he said. "I'm going to visit Colorado on Oct. 25 and I'm taking a trip to Notre Dame in early October. Those are probably my two favorites with Colorado in the lead."

Battle is also considering official visits to Stanford, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
"Tech hasn't really been recruiting me as hard lately so I don't know if I'm off their list," he said. "Stanford and Virginia are great academics schools so I like both of them. Duke and Vandy are cool too, but I don't know if I'll visit them or not."
Battle said that Colorado is recruiting him the hardest.
"To be recruited that hard by a Big 12 team, especially one of the best ones, is great," he said. "There's a chance I could commit out there, but I'd rather not. I'd like to see a few schools first."
Starr's Mill is 5-1 so far and Battle has around 350 yards and seven touchdowns on offense by his estimation. On defense, he has 30 tackles.
