Georgia CB has a top five

Milledgeville (Ga.) Baldwin cornerback Carson Hill has a five schools in the lead for his services.
The 5-foot-9, 162-pound corner says that Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, N.C. State, Southern Mississippi and Louisville are on top at this time. The Wolfpack and Cardinals have not extended a scholarship offer at the moment, but the others have.

"I'm expecting N.C. State and Louisville to offer real soon," he said.
Hill is the brother of former Clemson linebacker Leroy Hill, Rivals.com's 2004 Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year. Like his brother, he brings a strong work ethic and desire to achieve to the field.
"I don't even want the coaches to promise me playing time," Carson Hill said. "That's up to me."
Hill appreciates that the Yellow Jackets have stayed in touch.
"The have been on me since last spring," he said. "I like all of the coaches over there. That is probably a good fit for me."
Tech defensive line coach Gif Smith is recruiting Hill for the Yellow Jackets.
Vanderbilt also has made a good impression on Hill.
"Just like Georgia Tech, they have stayed in touch," he said. "Those are probably the two schools that I hear from the most (Tech and Vanderbilt). Vanderbilt offered me during the summer and they were real close to beating some very good teams this year."
Commodores wide receivers coach Charlie Fisher is recruiting Hill for Vanderbilt.
N.C. State coach Chuck Amato is a big reason Hill likes the Wolfpack.
"I've been watching them the last four years because my brother played against them at Clemson," he said. "I like coach Amato."
He took in State's 31-10 loss to Clemson on Oct. 13.
Southern Mississippi assistant Fred Tate is a big reason that the Golden Eagles are strongly in the picture.
"Coach Tate is really cool," Hill said. "Plus they are in Conference USA and play on TV a lot with their Thursday night games."
Despite opposing teams throwing away from him most of the time, Hill finished the season with three interceptions and 10 pass break-ups. He also blocked a field goal and averaged 6.5 tackles per game. Baldwin was eliminated in the third round of the Georgia Class 4A playoffs.
Hill was ranked as the No. 56 prospect in the preseason Georgia top 75.
