Georgia CB commits

Score another solid pickup for Vanderbilt in the state of Georgia.
Fayetteville (Ga.) Starr's Mill three-star cornerback Johnny Edwards, who is 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, has committed to Vandy. His mother confirmed the commitment just moments ago.

Edwards picked Vandy over offers from Duke, Stanford and Wake Forest and interest from Georgia, Notre Dame, Pitt and East Carolina.
"Vanderbilt has a great combination of academics and he can go up there and be playing early," Dr. Kathy Edwards, Johnny's mother said. "We went up there a few times for visits and it just felt like the best place for him."
Starr’s Mill has become a force to reckon with in the state of Georgia. A big reason why is because of players like Edwards, who recorded 60 tackles and six interceptions as a junior.
Edwards is the second solid player from the Peach State to commit to Vandy. Lindale, Ga., four-star standout Marcus Dixon committed to Vanderbilt early on in the recruiting process.
