Georgia back ready to pop

LaGrange, Ga., running back Skyler Thornton likes what he sees in the Maryland Terrapins early on in the recruiting process. Does he like the Terps enough to commit?
Thornton, a 6-foot, 195-pound running back, has received his first offer from Maryland.

"I like Maryland because our offenses are very similar and that might be a good fit there," Thornton said. "We run a little of the Wing-T offense, just like Maryland does and in that way we are similar. Maryland's not my leader, right now, I just really like what they have had to say."
Georgia, Auburn and Florida will have something to say when it comes down to signing day. Thornton will be attending camps this summer at Georgia and Auburn.
"Right now I'm looking forward to spring football practice, which is only two weeks away," Thornton said. "Our team will be real strong and looking forward to getting that state title next year."
Look for Thornton to improve on his incredible season last year, surpassing 1,500 yards and scored over 20 touchdowns.
