Georgia back re-works visits

Sylvania (Ga.) Screven County running back Michael Cooper is still playing and still playing the recruiting field.
"I can't wait for my visit to UGA this weekend," Cooper said. "Coach Richt has been calling me a lot. We've become really good friends. I look up to him a lot, and so do the people around here.

"He's a good guy, and he's so fun to talk to."
But so are the other coaches that are recruiting him. Cooper pointed out that he's developed great relationships with coaches at LSU, Maryland and other schools. But when the head coach personally recruits you, it does mean something, he said.
"It makes you feel important," Cooper said.
Cooper's visit schedule after this weekend is a bit jumbled. If his team wins, it'll be until January before he visits Maryland, Georgia Tech and either Florida or Penn State.
But if they lose, then he'll be at Maryland next weekend, followed by a Jan. 4 trip to Georgia Tech.
Cooper was set with Florida on Jan. 11 but after an official visit for the Florida-Tennessee game he said he's not sure if he'll return for an official visit, plus Penn State is also now moving back into the picture.
"I talked with Joe Paterno," Cooper said. "What a great honor that was. He was telling me that they need a running back like me to come up there."
Cooper was also slated to visit Clemson, but he said he is now no longer visiting the Tigers.
"With all the stuff that went on this week with their running back, I don't think I'm interested anymore," he said.
