Georgia, Auburn standing out for 2016 Rivals250 WR

Class of 2016 Rivals250 prospect Marquez Callaway lives a little bit off the beaten path, so he doesn't get the type of attention that some other top underclassmen have received thus far. But that doesn't mean that plenty of major programs aren't pushing for his services.
"I've been talking to Georgia[/tm], Auburn[/tm], Alabama[/tm], Tennessee[/tm] and Florida[/tm]," Callaway said. "Those are kind of my favorites right now."

With Callaway hailing from Warner Robins, Ga. he said he's high on the nearby Bulldogs.
"I like that it's not too far, and it's not too close," he said. " It'll give me space, but then again I can always go home if I need to."
Callaway is ranked as a wide receiver in the Rivals.com database as a wide receiver, but said Georgia has also talked to him about playing safety.
"They said they like me at wide receiver but they offered me as a safety," Callaway said. "They might give me the chance to play both ways. I really like it up there. Every time I visit they treat me like I'm one of their own."
Another school that Callaway is taking a hard look at is Auburn[/tm].
"I've been to Auburn twice, one on a regular visit and one to a game," Callaway said. "I really like them because Jeff Whitaker played there, and he was from my hometown. We've been talking a lot."
The former Auburn starter and four-star Whitaker has taken on the role of recruiter when it comes to Callaway.
"He's not pressuring me to go there but he's telling me to go where I feel like I need to go," Callaway said of Whitaker's sales pitch. "He told me that Auburn is where he felt at home and they treated him like family there."
Callaway said he's planning on taking several visits over the next few months as he tries to gather more information on some of the schools showing heavy interest.
"I plan on going to Alabama because they have been in close contact for a while," he said. "I have to go to Alabama and I want to go some schools up north like Notre Dame, Michigan and Michigan State. Just give them all a look and see how it is."
