Georgia athlete likes fast pace

Looking for a player that likes to kick it up a notch and plays his game like a fast break in basketball? If so, then Albany, Ga., athlete Edgar Salisbury is your man.
The 5-foot-8, 165-pound Salisbury might not attract a lot of attention for his size, but it’s his speed, athletic ability and play making skills that makes him a recruit to watch in the state of Georgia for the Class of 2003.

“I love a fast-pace game,” Salisbury said. “And I love having the ball when it’s crunch time.”
And when he does, he almost all the time produces.
Playing as a quarterback and running back as a junior, Salisbury racked up 307 yards passing, 537 yards rushing and reached the end zone 10 times.
When it comes to college, Salisbury has pointed out a few things that will factor into his college decision.
“I want to play on grass and I like to play in a mild climate,” Salisbury said. “The most important thing, though, is to get my degree.”
Salisbury has plenty of early looks in the recruiting process, but at this point does not have any scholarship offers. He is getting early interest from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Florida. Those are the teams that he listed in order.
He said at this point he does plan on camping at Alabama and Valdosta State.
