Georgia athlete has Duke, Illini offers
One of the better sleepers in the state of Georgia with scholarship offers is Chamblee, Ga., two-star athlete Rodney Ezzard.
The 6-foot, 175-pound Ezzard is being recruited to play quarterback and defensive back and looks like he’ll have plenty of options to check out.

“I have scholarship offers from Duke and Illinois,” Ezzard, who has a 4.5-second time in the 40-yard dash and a 230-pound bench press, said. “I’m also getting calls from Navy, Duke, East Carolina and UAB.”
So why are these schools recruiting Ezzard?
“I’m a guy that plays hard on every play,” Ezzard said. “I’m also very aggressive. We’re also in the playoff hunt. We’re 5-2 on the season. If we win two our of our last three, we’re going to be in.”
Ezzard and his teammates will battle Tucker this week.
“We can beat them,” he said. “We’re just going to have to play hard.”
