Georgia ATH Hassan Hall commits to Louisville
Back on August 5th, three-star athlete Hasaan Hall out of Atlanta (Ga.) Maynard Jackson committed to Syracuse over Louisville. It was a very difficult decision for Hall. It is one that the 5-foot-11, 185 pound playmaker who could shine on offense or defense went back and forth on down to the final hour before announcing for the Orange.
He stayed committed to Syracuse for a little over two months, but on October 10th, Hall backed off that commitment.
Louisville never went away and the momentum swung back into the favor of the Cardinals over time.
"Louisville made it tough on me," said Hall. "They never stopped recruiting me, they showed me how much they wanted me and they never made it easy on me to be committed to Syracuse.
"I have made the decision to commit to Louisville. I felt like I moved too fast before, so I had to slow things down, re-think the process and I am now committed to Louisville."
Hall was back at Louisville a few weeks ago and that is when he rally started to feel the Cardinals could truly be the school for him. He visited there first in the summer, he has developed strong relationships with coaches there and the fit feels right for him there.
"I believe that Louisville is going to give me what I need for the next level in football and in life. I feel they will help me grow on and off the field and that means a lot to me.
"It was a hard decision because Syracuse is a great school, but I just feel Louisville is better for me and my future. I love the environment there, the coaches are great and the proximity to my family helped too.
"After I weighed everything out and added everything up, I just believe Louisville is the school for me."
Although he was committed to Syracuse, Louisville never truly left Hall's mind. He was constantly hearing from coaches on the Cardinal staff and after opening his recruitment back up, he felt now was the time to commit a second time to the school that finished second in August.
He feels more ready to make a final decision this time.
"This commitment is different for me," said Hall. "Louisville has different coaches, they have different players, it is a different offense and defense, and it just a completely different commitment for me in a good way.
"Words cannot explain the feeling I have now about my commitment to Louisville. My commitment is very strong to Louisville. I feel Louisville is the place for me and I look forward to spending the next four years up there."
