Georgia ATH follows in family footsteps

The Marist School's two star ranked athlete Sean McVay (5-foot-11, 170 pounds) has several different college options, yet in the end a family tradition and some serious history helped this prospect make his college choice.
"I decided to give my verbal commitment to Miami of Ohio" said Sean McVay. "I was lucky to have several great opportunities to choose from, but in the end Miami of Ohio just felt right from the beginning, and taking into account my family history with the school as well as my gut feeling, I feel I made the best possible decision. I went with my gut feeling."

According to McVay, "Both my grandfather and my uncle played for Miami of Ohio, and they were both All conference players in their day. I really tried to not let that become a factor in my recruiting, but after my official visit to Miami I was sold. They were the first school to offer, and the coaches and the players were just great on my visit. Also let's face it, they had a great year last year. Even thought Ben Roethlisberger is leaving for the NFL, I'm very confident that they will be in the MAC title hunt every year."
The Redhawks recruited McVay as a wide receiver/kick returner. McVay has recruiting interest and offers from Duke, Tulane and Rice University.
