Dyran Williams awaits his first scholarship offer, but is
getting steady interest from three schools on his list.
"Clemson, Marshall and Kansas are still calling
regularly," he said. "They're calling about every week. Clemson wants me to
make a visit as soon as possible. I was supposed to go there on Saturday,
but I wasn't able to make the trip. I'm going to reschedule with them and go
back."
Wiliams (5-8, 170, 4.4) says he's hoping someone
overlooks his modest stature and takes a chance on his playmaking ability.
As a junior he earned all-region honors after rushing for 600 yards,
catching 600 yards in passes and scoring 13 touchdowns.
"When they ask about position, I say it doesn't
really matter," he said. "I'm a football player. I just want the opportunity
to keep playing football. I'll make someone glad they put faith in me.
"Clemson has been asking coach for a lot of film, so
I'm hoping that's a good sign. They told me they liked what they saw from
the first tape we sent them."
He said the Tigers would be No. 1 on his list due to
proximity to his Georgia home. Marshall would be second followed by Kansas.
"There are some others, but most of them are smaller schools I'm not really
thinking about so much right now."
