Georgia 2025 four-star commit OL Micah DeBose discusses UGA and Alabama

ARLINGTON, Texas — Prichard (Ala.) Vigor 2025 four-star offensive tackle Micah DeBose made the long trip in from Alabama to Dallas last Sunday and completely dominated the competition at the Under Armour camp stop in Arlington, earning the Rivals MVP for the camp.

It felt like a good day to DeBose as well, as he felt strong about his performance coming out of the day even with limited reps.

"I feel like I did really good today in one-on-ones," DeBose said. "I wish it was longer."

Committed to Georgia since January, conversations with the Bulldogs remain strong as we head into the spring.

"I'm talking to them mostly every day," he said. "It's great talking to them, I love Georgia and that's why I'm committed right now."

Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels has been the main point of contact for DeBose as the two have grown a strong and personal relationship that led to his commitment.

"I can just call him anytime and talk to him to see how his day is going," he said.

DeBose will return to Georgia on April 1 to help recruit the 2024 and 2025 classes in Athens.

However, in-state powerhouse Alabama looms large in his recruitment as the recent offer from the Crimson Tide and offensive line coach Eric Wolford immediately puts them in the mix.

"It's great, it's Alabama," he said. "(Wolford) is a great guy to talk to. He's a guy you can just talk to for hours and hours."

While DeBose hasn't been able to truly connect with Nick Saban as of yet, he has already gotten an early feel of the legendary head coach in Tuscaloosa.

"Nick Saban is a good person," he said. "I haven't really had a personal conversation with him."

Heading deeper into the offseason, DeBose will look to polish up his game in one main area before returning to the field for his junior season.

"Probably speed, just trying to get better at speed and that's it," he said.

At 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, DeBose is the No. 26 ranked recruit in the country for the class of 2025, according to Rivals. He is the No. 5 recruit from the state of Alabama and the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country.
