Georges grabs second early offer

Donovan Georges' second offer is in the books and it arrived from an in-state program. USF made things official with the Hialeah (Fla.) Champagnat Catholic linebacker on Wednesday, and it seems as though there's plenty more college interest on deck.
Georges, you see, is just a freshman. The 2018 prospect has room to develop and plenty of time to see his options expand. Still, that's not to say he doesn't know much about the Bulls at this early juncture. For a player of his age, he's actually quite familiar.

"I know a lot about them because my cousin actually played for USF," Georges said. "I always talked to him about it. He played d-tackle there. He always gave me a heads up on how things were going there and how much he liked it."
Florida State, Miami, South Carolina and N.C. State have also tested the early waters of Georges' recruitment, and the Gamecocks have extended an invite to their team camp. For the time being, it seems like only a matter of time until more offers arrive.
"They are all talking to my coaches a lot," Georges said. "I'm maybe going to go to some camps this summer, but I know a lot of them are talking to the coaches."
There's one possible offer, however, that might mean a touch more than the rest. Georges names Ohio State as a dream school and says and offer from the Buckeyes would mean everything to him. For now, though, only USF and West Virginia have come to the table officially, and Georges is attempting to familiarize himself with both programs.
"I know a little about West Virginia," Georges said. "Mostly I just know they produced Mario Alford. I like him."
Georges is in no hurry to make a verbal commitment and says not to expect him to make any sort of verbal commitment in the current calendar year.
