George talks new offers, summer

Offers are beginning to pick up for cornerback Jaston George out of Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith. The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder still claims one Division I-A offer and is starting to focus on his summer plans as well.
"I got offered by Richmond and Norfolk State in the past week," he said. "Richmond came to the school and that's a cool offer. I know they won the championship in 2008. I think I'd fit into their program well."

Who else is interested?
"Recruiting is picking up a lot," he said. "A bunch of schools have come by including Marshall, Temple, Connecticut, West Virginia, Michigan and Florida.
"Coach Morgan said they are really interested in me especially Marshall and I think West Virginia really wants me to come to a camp. I might go to one or two camps, but I'm not sure where."
Syracuse, George's lone I-A offer continues to hold a special place for him at this time.
"I'm open of the schools, but Syracuse has always been a school I compare every other one to," he said. "It's just the fact that they jumped on me and I've built that connection with the coaches.
"I like the atmosphere there. That was my first offer and I visited in April. It was a good visit. I got to meet all the coaches and watch them practice. I like the fact the coaches spend time with the players and teach."
