George is off to a big start

Jeremiah George is a happy camper. This three-star linebacker is part of a 3-0 and unbeaten Clearwater High School team in Florida. Things couldn't be going any better for George.
"This is what I wanted," George said. "We are finally playing as a team. Everyone knows what to do and we are all on the same page, especially on defense. We have improved every day in practice and it shows on Fridays. Last week we beat Northeast and only allowed 55 yards in the second half."

Clearwater opens up district play this Friday against East Lake. East Lake upset Tarpon Springs for a big win last week. For the season George has 35 tackles, including 18 against Northeast. He also had two forced fumbles and an interception.
"I have noticed that my catch up speed is faster and my hitting has gone up. I mean I can hit a lot hard. That's because I am a lot stronger. I think going to all those camps has helped with pass coverage too."
In regards to recruiting George continues to list Iowa State as his leader.
"Iowa State is No. 1. I have talked with Shane Burnham and coach (Paul) Rhodes. They are telling me about the season and I was telling them about the work I do. We are just trying to get to know each other. I want to go visit them and I am trying for their game against Baylor.
"I talked with UCF on Friday after game. They should offer soon. They wanted to see my transcripts first and for me to take the test. I am actually taking both in October.
"I have also talked with Kansas and I would like to see them for their Missouri game. That's about it for now."
