Geoff Schwartz Pulls The Trigger

Palisades (Calif.) offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz said last weekend that he would take most of the week to think about his college choice and then make his decision before departing for the CaliFlorida Bowl on Sunday. And the winner is…
“I’m going to Oregon,” Schwartz said. “They have been leading for me for awhile now and I just really like the direction the program is going in. They have a great coaching staff that has been there for a long time. I really like the offensive line coach, Neal Zoumboukos and feel he’ll be able to get the most out of me. My trip to Oregon was great and I just felt like it was the best overall fit for me.

“I liked Arizona and UCLA too and have a lot of respect for both schools. That’s why I wanted to make sure I called both schools before announcing my decision, I didn’t want them to have to read about it before hearing from me first. I’m definitely excited to have this out of the way and now I can just go out and have a great week of fun with CaliFlorida Bowl.”
Schwartz, 6-6, 300 pounds is a talented left tackle prospect with great size and good athleticism. He’s an advanced pass blocker who should do well once he adds more strength to his sizable frame. Schwartz is the Ducks 5th commitment from an offensive lineman and 14th overall.
