Gee sitting back

Houston (Texas) Jersey Village safety LaTravien Gee has been a mainstay in the Falcons secondary earning first-team all-district honors as a sophomore and second-team honors as a junior.
At 6-1, 175 pounds, Gee is a big, imposing presence on the defensive side of the ball, and is gearing up for another big season in 2012.

On the recruiting front, Gee is taking his time with the process. He has yet to receive any phone calls or offers, but he is receiving mail daily from the likes of TCU, Arkansas, and Oklahoma State.
He does not have any unofficial or official visits, but this summer he was able to attend a few college camps.
""I went to Baylor's camp, UofH's camp, and UTEP's camp," Gee said. "Baylor's camp, it was my first camp, but it went pretty smooth. I made a few plays. My hand was broken so I had a cast on it and couldn't do too much. UofH was a little bit faster, I had my hand in the cast. I didn't get my hand out of the cast until I went to UTEPs camp. It was fun. They were very energetic. UTEP went by pretty fast. I got a private workout because I had to leave early. So I was just working with the DB coach."
Gee is not one to get unnerved, and he feels when the time is right things will fall into place.
"I like it, you just have to stay patient with it," Gee said. "There's not really a timetable. Some people are faster than others."
He is not ready to name any favorites at this point in the process.
"I'm just sitting back and waiting," Gee said.
