Gebbia talks new Miami offer

Tristan Gebbia was visited by Miami recently and the 2017 four-star quarterback was apparently impressive because the Hurricanes have decided to offer.
"They came and visited us at school and then they watched us practice a little bit," Gebbia said. "I guess they liked what they saw when I was throwing and they decided to offer me.

"They just said they liked me a lot and they wanted to see me maybe come down in the summer and go to a camp or something."
Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach James Coley was the one to stop by Calabasas, Calif., to see Gebbia, who also has early offers from Kentucky and Louisville.
The 2017 quarterback said he's seriously considering a trip to Miami this summer but he won't know his schedule for a few more weeks. Other programs are expected to stop by so Gebbia wants to see which schools are involved and then make travel plans.
"It has a great history," Gebbia said of Miami.
"It has a great fan base and Florida is beautiful so it sounds like a great place to play. I'm thinking about a trip. We're going to evaluate where I am in about six weeks and figure it out from there."
Miami has had tremendous success with California quarterbacks including its starter right now - former West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade's Brad Kaaya - and that will be a part of the thinking but Gebbia said he wants to find the best place for him through the recruiting process.
"I will take that into account but realistically wherever I can go and play and have a great experience, that's where I want to go," Gebbia said.
Interest is also coming in from North Carolina, Arizona State and Penn State. In his sophomore season, Gebbia threw for 3,336 yards with 35 touchdowns.
