Gebbia back from Alabama trip

It was a quick weekend trip for Tristan Gebbia and some Calabasas, Calif., teammates to see the Ole Miss-Alabama game in Tuscaloosa but for the 2017 four-star quarterback it was well worth it.
Gebbia, rated as the fourth-best pro-style quarterback in the 2017 class, said he loved the game-day environment in Alabama and it's something he really has not seen before.

"I just saw a great game-day atmosphere," Gebbia said. "It was almost like an unreal experience. It's just a different world out there. I really had a great time and I loved watching that game and the offense move around. The pro-style system looked pretty good to me.
"I'm sure they would want a couple things back but overall I was really impressed with everything they have to offer and I loved my visit."
Because it was a quick in-and-out trip for Gebbia, five-star cornerback Darnay Holmes and four-star receiver Keyshawn Johnson, Jr., there was not an opportunity to talk much with the coaches.
But Gebbia did communicate with some other recruits and they only had positive things to say about what's going on at Alabama.
Gebbia got to see it first-hand this weekend as well.
"We had to leave right after the game so I didn't get to speak to coach (Lane) Kiffin," Gebbia said. "We talked to a couple other guys and we asked how it is out there and they were saying it's a great place to be and just excited about the future.
"I just loved the whole atmosphere. They're really die-hard fans in Tuscaloosa. It feels really good to be around something like that where you know the tradition has been there for years and it's always going to be there because of the work and the effort everybody puts into it."
More unofficial visits are coming up. Gebbia will take a trip to Arizona State this weekend for its game against USC.
He will also visit Nebraska for the Wisconsin game and West Virginia for the Texas Tech game in November. A trip to Miami sometime this season is also being considered.
New interest is coming in from Ole Miss, Washington and Cal.
