Gators set pace with Gamble

DAVIE, Fla. -- Kemore Gamble won't, as most prospects do, spend his junior season attempting to get looks from college coaches. A lot of them already know his name.
The Miami (Fla.) Southridge High School wide receiver has been a standout on the camp circuit and holds seven scholarship offers as a sophomore. And while he won't sign his letter of intent until February of 2017, Gamble is already forming some early opinions.

"Florida is my favorite right now," Gamble said on Saturday.
The shine Gamble, a four-star prospect, has taken to the Gators is motivated, at least partly, by nostalgia. Gamble grew up a Florida fan and the scholarship offer wowed him when it arrived. Asked what's keeping him from making an early commitment to coach [db]Jim McElwain[/db] and his staff.
"I just want to wait and see," Gamble said. "I want to see what else happens."
That said, Gamble's decision to name Florida as his early leader isn't just a player impressed with the chance to play for his favorite college. Even at this early stage, it's a little more than that. Gamble has more tangible reasons for his stance.
"I like that they run spread offense," Gamble said. "And my visit up there was good. We watched practice and talked to the coaches. It all went really well."
But Florida isn't the only school in the running. Aside from the offers Gamble already holds, new schools are entering his recruitment weekly.
"Florida State is talking to me a lot. I want them to offer. You could say that. I'm going to visit a lot of schools. I'm gonna visit (Alabama), Tennessee and a lot of others."
