Washington (D.C.) Dunbar tight end Vernon Davis announced his decision today at 4:15 P.M. So who won this battle?
"I'm going to Maryland," said the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder. "I based it on the environment and social life. I had to answer the question of where I would be happy without football."
Davis had offers from more than 40 schools but narrowed his list down to Maryland and Florida with Virginia still in the picture. Davis will play two positions at Maryland.
