Gators offer New Jersey TE

Florida has been recruiting several prospects from New Jersey's junior class for a while and now you can add another recruit to that list.
Jack Tabb, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end from Red Bank Catholic in New Jersey, told Rivals.com on Monday night that Florida and Purdue have told him that he has offers coming his way.

"Purdue came to my school today and let me know about it," Tabb recalled. "They said (the offer) is in the mail. With Florida, I called the coach today and we had a little chat. I didn't really catch his name because it was kind of tough to hear but he said there's an offer coming in the mail, too.
"I was expecting the Purdue offer because they had been talking to me for a couple of weeks, but I had just sent my film down to Florida."
Tabb is not only surprised that the Gators have offered in spite of limited contact with him. He's somewhat blown away by the fact that he has the opportunity to play for such a prestigious program.
"I'm just a little shocked," he laughed. "I'm happy, of course, but I'm shocked. I had talked to them one other time and today. They definitely have to be up there (on his list). They're just a powerhouse program. I'm kind of shocked and overwhelmed.
"I just thought I'd send my film down there to see if I'd get something back. It does make me think about committing but I think I'm still going to wait and look at my options a little bit first."
Tabb has family in Indiana so he will easily be able to work in a trip to Purdue if he decides he wants to. His mother has already told him she would take him to Florida over the summer.
